Chatô Stainless Steel Fountain — 3 L, cordless pump, multi-cat

Three litres, so you don't have to think about it all week. Our 1.2 L fountain suits one cat; with two or three, it empties in two days. This stainless steel model lasts a full week for one cat, two to three days with several.

Stainless steel changes two things compared to plastic: it doesn't scratch, so there are no micro-scratches for deposits to settle into, and it doesn't hold taste. It's the material chosen by owners of cats who are fussy about water.

What we like

• Stainless steel bowl, 3 litres
• Contactless pump: no cable goes into the water, the unit charges by induction
• Three modes: continuous, intervals, or triggered when the cat walks past
• Very quiet — the manufacturer states 25 dB
• Level window: you can see at a glance when to refill

What you should know

• This is the model for multi-cat homes, or for people who are away for a few days. For a single cat with no refilling constraint, our 1.2 L fountain does the same job for half the price.
• The reservoir needs cleaning every 4 to 5 days, even when full: still water at the surface always ends up forming a film.
• One filter is included. Refills can be found online; we don't stock them yet — we'd rather sell nothing than sell you a part that doesn't fit.
• This is not a medical device: the fountain supports hydration, it does not treat any illness.
• Estimated delivery: 10 to 15 working days.
