Data collected
Identity, contact details, delivery address, order history, browsing data (cookies). Payment is processed by Shopify Payments and PayPal: no complete banking data is stored by Chatô.
Purposes and legal bases
- Order processing and delivery — performance of the contract
- Customer service — legitimate interest
- Newsletter — consent, withdrawable at any time
- Accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation
Recipients
Providers strictly necessary to deliver the service: host (Shopify), payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal), supplier and carrier for shipping, and an emailing tool where applicable.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some providers may process data outside the European Union, on the basis of the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.
Retention period
Customer data is kept for the duration of the commercial relationship, then archived in accordance with statutory periods (10 years for accounting records).
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability and restriction of processing. To exercise them, write to contact@chato.fr. You may lodge a complaint with the French CNIL (cnil.fr) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
