Article 1 — Purpose
These general terms and conditions of sale govern sales concluded on this site between Chatô, the trade name of the sole proprietorship whose full identity and contact details appear in the Legal Notice ("the Seller"), and any non-professional customer ("the Customer").
Article 2 — Products
The products offered are described with the greatest possible accuracy. Photographs are non-contractual. The Seller is solely responsible for the conformity of the products with the Customer, even when shipping is handled by a partner supplier.
Article 3 — Prices
Prices are indicated in euros. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code: the prices displayed are net prices, no VAT is charged. Any delivery costs are displayed before order validation. The Seller reserves the right to modify its prices at any time; products are invoiced at the rate in force at the time of the order.
Article 4 — Order
The order is validated after acceptance of these conditions and payment. A confirmation email summarizing the order is sent to the Customer.
Article 5 — Payment
Payment is made via Shopify Payments and PayPal, in a secure environment. The Seller does not have access to any full bank details. The order is processed after payment confirmation.
Article 6 — Delivery
Products are shipped by a partner supplier. Estimated delivery time: 7 to 14 working days after order confirmation. This period corresponds to the actual observed delay and is never underestimated. In case of a delay exceeding 14 working days, the Customer can contact customer service at contact@chato.fr and request cancellation and refund of their order.
Article 7 — Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with articles L.221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has a period of 14 days from receipt of their order to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give any reason. The procedures are detailed on the Delivery and Returns page.
Article 8 — Legal Guarantees
The Customer benefits from the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code), independently of any commercial guarantee.
Article 9 — Liability
The Seller cannot be held responsible for any use of the product that does not conform to its intended purpose. The products sold are not medical devices and do not claim to treat, cure, or prevent any disease, in animals or humans.
Article 10 — Personal Data
The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Article 11 — Disputes
These conditions are subject to French law. In accordance with article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, the consumer Customer has the right to free recourse to a consumer mediator for the amicable resolution of any dispute; the contact details of the competent mediator can be obtained upon request at contact@chato.fr. Failing amicable resolution or mediation, the French courts have jurisdiction.
