The delivery time, straight
Why 10 to 15 days
Most shops advertise “2 to 4 days” and deliver in a fortnight. We do the opposite: we state the time we actually observe, and we explain it.
Where the wait comes from
Chatô holds no warehouse. Every item leaves the workshop that makes it, once you have ordered. That is what lets us offer a stainless steel fountain at a fair price rather than twice that, and test a product before listing it without having to shift stock bought blind.
The downside is real: it takes time. Ten to fifteen working days, so two to three calendar weeks. We are not going to tell you otherwise.
What happens between your click and your door
Day 0 — your order arrives
You get an instant confirmation. We pass the order on the same day, working days.
Days 1 to 3 — preparation
The item is picked, checked and packed. This is where a damaged product is set aside before it ever leaves.
Days 3 to 11 — in transit
The parcel travels. You receive your tracking number as soon as it ships: from then on you see exactly where it is, just as we do.
Days 11 to 15 — final delivery
Handed to the local carrier and delivered to your address or pickup point.
And if it runs over
Past 15 working days with no delivery, write to us. We open an investigation with the carrier and keep you posted — without you having to chase.
If the parcel is lost, you are refunded or reshipped, your choice. That risk is ours, not yours: the item travels under our responsibility until it reaches you, as French consumer law provides (article L216-4).
What it changes for you
An honestly stated delivery time is one less thing to watch. You know when to expect your parcel, you needn't worry after three days, and you won't get the nasty surprise of a “shipped within 24 hours” that turns up three weeks later.
And if the wait doesn't suit you, better to know now than after paying. That is also why we display it everywhere.
A question about an order in progress?
We reply within 24 working hours, by a human.
